In A Tournament

For anyone who follows my blog, which is not many, if you would like to see me play in a Starcraft II Tournament, watch me play in the "Ascended Starcraft League." I am going to be playing on Monday, June 14. The games start at 6pm PST 8 CST and 9pm EST at http://www.twitch.tv/ascendedstarcraft And if you would like, you could just watch the rest of the tournament, which is starting right now, but I won't be playing today. My name is Khloe. If you see or hear "KhaoTiK" that is also me, I had a name change. Wish me luck, thanks.

Starcraft 2: New Proposed Terran Buff: What I Think

There are two new proposed buffs to Terran: a medivac buff and a widow mine buff. The medivac buff: "Medivac harass has been getting weaker since the beginning of HotS due to players improving at defending against them." The idea is to increase the medivac boost speed and the speed at which units drop out of the medivac. I like this change, but the polls on Team Liquid show a 52% saying no the medivac buff and 42% saying yes. Now, this medivac buff will also help Bio against Mech play. I think that Bio needs a bit of help versus Mech, because Mech is very hard to break with bio. I feel like a quicker drop speed will increase the viability of drops on top of Tanks in TvT and will help break strong tank lines, especially when being contained. Also, I feel like the ten minute marine/tank push is becoming too common, although it is not overpowered in anyway, it is just becoming too common, and can be frustrating to deal with. I do like this idea, but some people argue that it should be a researched upgrade, but I think that this should be dependent on the degree of the buff. If the speeds of both the boost and drop speed are just a small increase, I feel like it wouldn't even be worth while to make it an upgrade. If it is a substantial increase, I think that making it an upgrade is understandable.

The second proposed buff is a window mine buff. This buff should go through. Many Terrans are under-performing against Zerg, and many Zergs are over-performing against Terran, mainly bio play at the lower, Bronze-Platinum level, because Marine splits are difficult and are hard for lower level players, which gives the Zergs the ability to A-Move over bio playing Terran, especially at the lower levels. I think that the slash damage should be buffed against Muta/Ling/Bane compositions specifically. Widow mines don't play much of a role in TvT, and have already been buffed against Protoss. I appreciate Blizzard's recognition of Terran's under performance, and hope these buffs end up in the next patch.
